The Sampoerna University Testing Center administers the placement testing program to new and continuing students to ensure correct placement in selected introductory courses and to help students assess their college-readiness. The Test Center is located at the L’Avenue Campus in Pancoran, Jakarta. Sampoerna University’s Test Center is also authorized by Pearson VUE as a certified GED (General Educational Diploma) Test Center. Also known as LOEP (Level of English Proficiency), ACCUPLACER ESL is an integrated system of computer-adaptive assessments designed to evaluate students’ skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. ACCUPLACER ESL test scores are used to place students in college-level courses that are appropriately challenging and not significantly above their skill level.
Next-Generation ACCUPLACER TestThe Next-Generation ACCUPLACER (NG) test is required for students as a part of the admission application for Sampoerna University. The purpose of the Next-Generation (NG) ACCUPLACER test is to determine the individual skill level and readiness in reading, writing and math.

The purpose of the Next-Generation (NG) ACCUPLACER test is to determine the individual skill level and readiness in reading, writing and math. The Next-Generation ACCUPLACER is a computer-adaptive test offered throughout each semester. The Reading, Writing and Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics (QAS) tests are untimed and multiple choice. The score results are only one factor of multiple measures used in the admission process and course placement. Students who score below the minimum threshold are advised to enroll in a developmental education course in English, Mathematics, or both subjects
