Opportunity to explore the complex world of the mind and brain

Faculty of Education

Psychology

The Psychology major at Sampoerna University gives students the opportunity to explore the complex world of the mind and brain—how the mind and brain evolve from infancy to old age, the environmental influences that shape our behavior, and the impact of brain disorders such as autism and Alzheimer’s disease. You will gain new insights in areas of cognitive science and cognitive neuroscience, including performance, sensation, perception, language, thinking, decision making, and judgment. Students benefit from SU’s small-classroom environment, dual enrollment program with the University of Arizona, and the knowledge and skills to be gained through classroom discovery, undergraduate research and hands-on experiences.

Career Pathways

About 25% of psychology baccalaureate holders go to graduate school in psychology or a related field.

For those entering the workforce, the psychology degree qualifies a person for a large number of jobs, but the degree does not uniquely qualify a person for any particular job.
